Workshop for Nonprofit Organizations

Are you looking for strategies to find and recruit new board members that will truly help further your organization’s mission? This workshop will explore tactics for effectively identifying what board talent your organization needs to achieve your impact goals, provide a template to assess prospects (this is especially helpful during match nights!), and discuss strategies to develop and engage these candidates once they’ve joined the board.

Intended Audience

Nonprofit executives, staffs, and board members that are involved in board recruitment (i.e. attending OnBoard Match events) and development.

Outcomes

  • Learn the nine key steps to finding, recruiting, and engaging nonprofit board members

  • Identify ideas and resources for improving the composition and effectiveness of your board

  • Develop a “recruiting map” to identify who you need on the board, how to find them (including LinkedIn and other recruiting tools), and how to assess a good fit during the initial interview process.
